Travelling around Europe and making a big move.. sounds fantastic! I think the next step would be to expand your professional network in your new city and get your name out there. Depending on your field, there may be networking events and conferences that you can find out about online. Introduce yourself to as many people as you can, and follow up via LinkedIn. You might be surprised by the opportunities that come up!

It might also be worth establishing contact with a recruiter, or exploring options for professional development programs – both great ways to get to know more people.

Good luck!

I had two and a half years consulting experience post-graduation before spending some time travelling in Europe and then moving to a different city to look for new opportunities. I’m currently looking to re-join the consulting sector. Apart from joining professional associations and searching job advertisements, do you have any advice for someone like myself with some experience but limited professional contacts?

Thanks.
