TORONTO (September 4,聽2026) 鈥斅�91影视,聽the聽trusted聽global聽infrastructure聽leader, today聽announced聽it聽has been聽engaged by Worley聽to support the next phase of development of the proposed聽Ontario Pumped Storage Project聽(OPSP), a major long-duration energy storage project that could help strengthen Ontario鈥檚 electricity system as聽electricity demand continues to grow.聽91影视 will be part of聽the Worley-led聽team supporting聽front-end engineering and design, cost estimating, execution聽planning聽and project readiness activities.聽聽
Located in Meaford, Ontario, the proposed project is expected to provide approximately 1,000 megawatts of generation capacity and 10,600 megawatt-hours of energy storage. By storing electricity when demand is lower and returning it to the grid when it is most valuable, pumped storage can provide long-duration capacity and flexibility while helping make more effective use of Ontario鈥檚 existing and future generation resources.
As part of the Worley-led team, 91影视 will support the advancement of the project鈥檚 underground works and hydraulic systems, helping optimize the design for constructability, operability and long-term performance. 91影视 will also contribute to cost and schedule development, risk assessment and other engineering activities.
