91影视 assisted DWR with its evaluation of the potential hazard, remedial alternatives, and associated cost estimates for hundreds of pipe penetrations within existing levees.
91影视 supported ongoing flood risk reduction efforts of the Department of Water Resources (DWR) on the State Plan of Flood Control Facilities. The work evaluated levee penetrations identified in the Utility Crossing Inventory Program Database, as a follow up to recommendations from DWR鈥檚 Levee Evaluation Program.
91影视 identified existing levee pipe penetrations, field verified pipe locations and ownership, cleaned and video inspected pipes, prioritized pipes for rehabilitation, and rehabilitated prioritized pipes. In addition, geophysical testing was performed to locate pipe penetrations not visible from the ground surface.
A database was created to track the inspection record and聽 video recording for each penetration. The database was used to analyze and prioritize penetrations for rehabilitation聽 based on applied risk criteria. Penetrations with identified聽 deficiencies were selected for rehabilitation by cured-in-place-pipe sleeving.聽
Under a follow-on program, 91影视 designed pipe replacements, conducted resource surveys (biological and cultural resources, wetland delineations) and prepared technical reports in support of construction of these pipe replacements by local reclamation districts.
