Asia鈥檚 first-ever integrated sports and entertainment destination will promote a healthy and sustainable future for Singapore.
Singapore Sports Hub is a key project in the Singapore鈥檚 鈥楽ports Singapore Vision 2030,鈥 promoting a more sustainable, healthy and active society at all levels of participation, nationwide.
The hub is Asia鈥檚 first integrated sports, leisure, entertainment and lifestyle destination, and is expected to set a new standard for large scale sporting developments. It will also position sports as a catalyst for urban redevelopment by creating inclusive public destinations which are adaptable and socially integrated to the city鈥檚 urban community.
A uniquely Singaporean design
As part of the design team responsible for Singapore Sports Hub, 91影视 provided master planning and landscape architecture for the 35-hectare waterfront site which encompasses a new national stadium with a movable roof, an Olympic-standard aquatic center, a multi-purpose sports hall, sports library and museum, as well as retail, restaurants and entertainment space.
Key to the masterplan is the orientation of key public spaces, establishing views back to the center of Singapore and to the city鈥檚 famous skyline. The whole precinct is unified by a consistent philosophy and design approach to landscape, shade, shelter and lighting appropriate to Singapore鈥檚 tropical climate.
鈥淲e are very proud of what we have designed and of our collaborative effort to build a remarkable project. The Sports Hub is an extremely important project that will deliver world-class sporting and integrated community facilities to the people of Singapore.鈥

Connecting communities
The Singapore Sports Hub is designed to be a 24/7 destination, connecting the community with sport and leisure. An active landscaped 鈥榮ocial plinth,鈥 organized over three connected levels, will inject life and vibrancy between the various facilities and event plazas across the precinct.
Making the most of the hub鈥檚 strategic location, the walkable precinct area includes a 鈥榮ports promenade鈥 鈥 a space for everyday use, providing a fully accessible exercise area and connecting various public spaces 鈥 and links directly to local pedestrian and cycle networks.
The area is connected to Singapore鈥檚 island-wide park connector system, as well as to the Gardens by the Bay, the wider waterfront and surrounding residential areas. There is also easy access to the mass rapid transport (MRT) system and other transportation.
In addition, the natural setting is inherently sustainable with green spaces, passive cooling measures, renewable energy sources and, in a city where potable water is scarce, rainwater harvesting and a bioswale feature which recycles and reuses water for onsite use.
